First Of Three Urban Ready Living Harborside Towers Tops Out At 69 Stories, Jersey City

In 2013, YIMBY brought you news of the three-tower development URL Harborside planned at 200 Greene Street, on the Jersey City waterfront, and now the first tower has topped out at 69 stories, per Tectonic. The first tower will include 763 apartments and commercial space, but also a significant parking garage. The entire development will total 2,358 units, and Ironstate Development and Mack-Cali Realty Corporation are developing. Amsterdam-based Concrete is designing, and the first tower is expected to be complete in mid-2016.

Up To 650 Apartments Proposed At 260 & 280 Wyckoff Street, Boerum Hill

The New York City Housing Authority has proposed to allow private developers to build mixed-income residential towers on two parking lots at the Wyckoff Gardens public housing facility, in Boerum Hill. According to DNAinfo, the development would total 550 to 650 residential units, and the buildings would be located at 260 and 280 Wyckoff Street. Real Estate Weekly reports the units would be half affordable and half market-rate. Resident meetings will be conducted over the next month.

Seven-Story Expansion Of Treatment Center Tops Out At 25 Avenue D, East Village

The horizontal expansion of the seven-story building at 25 Avenue D, in the East Village, appears to be structurally complete, according to EV Grieve. Educational Alliance is building the expansion to their existing facility, which is used to treat adults with chemical dependancies. The new addition will be used to house patients, and according to filings, there will be a total of 37 units. The building has not yet received its façade, but a 2016 opening seems reasonable. WSP Cantor Seinuk is the engineer of record.

Two-Story, Two-Unit Mixed-Use Project Filed At 179 McClean Avenue, Arrochar

Long Island-based Astrit Canj has filed applications for a two-story, two-unit mixed-use building at 179 McClean Avenue, in Staten Island’s south shore neighborhood of Arrochar, near the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge. The small infill project will measure 4,000 square feet in total, with half the square-footage designated for ground-floor retail space. On the second floor, the residential units will average 1,000 square feet each. Staten Island-based Ryan & Vaccaro is the architect, and an existing home deep in the lot must first be demolished.
