Alloy Development will today appear before the city’s Landmarks Preservation Commission to obtain approval for a residential conversion in Brooklyn’s DUMBO Historic District. Located at 168 Plymouth Street, the development includes the transformation of a five-story structure at 50 Jay Street, and a neighboring seven-story building at 42 Jay Street.
Located in South Williamsburg, which like most of Brooklyn has been undergoing rapid and major changes over the past decade, a small building at the intersection of Broadway, South Sixth Street and Bedford Avenue, has some new renderings. Cayuga Capital Management LLC is the developer, and has revealed fresh new images of the project. They previously purchased the sharp, triangular vacant lot back in 2016.
Permits have been pre-filed for a six-story mixed-use building at 14 Clinton Street on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. The site is right by the major East Houston commercial thoroughfare, and seven blocks away from the Essex Street subway station, serviced by the F, J, M, and Z trains. Andres Hogg of Hogg Holdings is listed as responsible for the development.
Permits have been filed for an environmentally-oriented nine-story mixed-use development at 50 Pennsylvania Avenue, in Cypress Hills, Brooklyn. The site is two blocks away from the Alabama Avenue subway station, serviced by the J and Z trains. The Liberty Avenue subway station is also two blocks away, serviced by the C train. Pennrose is listed as behind the applications.
One of the most highly anticipated skyscrapers in Manhattan’s history has finally reached its peak architectural height. Two American flags have been fastened to the top of the tower in Midtown, announcing that the full topping-out has now occurred. This differs from the mid-June topping out event that architect Jean Nouvel attended, since that was to celebrate construction reaching the peak habitable height. Hines is responsible for the development.
