New permits reveal a 116-key hotel in development at 38-59 11th Street, in Long Island City, Queens. When complete, the building will comprise 54,164 square feet and rise to a final height of 16 floors and 179 feet. Filings also mention an enclosed parking volume for 31 vehicles.

The site is seven blocks away from the Freeman Street subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Badaly Architects is responsible for the design. The development will also be just two blocks away from another project by the firm, at 872 Home Street.
Permits have been filed for a two-story residential building at 173 Marine Street, in City Island, The Bronx. The island houses a population of roughly 4,400 people, located in the western end of the Long Island Sound. The project will be built in conjunction with 174 Marine Street, covered by YIMBY last week. The structures will fill up a large plot of land at the end of Marine Street, most of which is obscured from Google Street view by greenery. Cosmo Marfione of Newbanks Inc. is listed as responsible for the development.
