The site is two blocks east from the Canal Street subway station at Centre Street, serviced by the J and Z trains. Wing Cheung of One Eleven Property LLC is listed as behind the applications.
New construction permits have been filed for a 17-story mixed-use building at 1761 Jerome Avenue, in The Bronx‘s Mount Hope neighborhood. The filing includes a mix of 63,093 square feet of residential space, 52,949 square feet of community space, and 7,538 square feet of commercial space, with a total scope of 139,271 square feet. The development lists Kyle Ervin of Services for the Underserved, a social services organization, as the owner behind the applications. The non-profit has developed several supportive and affordable housing buildings in the borough.
Standing high above Midtown and Hudson Yards on West 33rd Street, One Manhattan West is the first supertall Brookfield has developed in New York City. With 67 floors and 2.1 million square feet of office space, the 995-foot-tall glass building is the 12th-tallest tower under construction in New York, and will eventually be joined by its shorter twin counterpart, Two Manhattan West. They will be two of six components to the Manhattan West project that will bring a total of nearly six million square feet of new office, commercial, residential, retail and public space to Midtown West. Skidmore Owings & Merrill is the designer of the two glass office towers.
Preliminary renderings have surfaced for a new 25-story Marriott hotel tower designed by architect Danny Forster Design Studio. From developer Arisa Realty, the 220-key hotel is located at 432 West 31st Street and is expected to top-out at 25 stories.
