Exterior work is finishing up on the Virgin Hotel, a 38-story tower at 1225 Broadway in NoMad. Designed by Stantec and developed by Lam Group, the 476-foot-tall, 300,000-square-foot structure will contain 460 hotel rooms managed by Sir Richard Branson of Virgin Group. Flintlock Construction Systems, LLC is the general contractor for the property, which is bound by Broadway, West 29th Street, and West 30th Street.
Leasing has officially kicked off at The Hazel, a new rental property at 89 Monitor Street in Jersey City‘s Bergen-Lafayette neighborhood. Designed by Fogarty Finger Architecture and developed by Alpine Residential and FieldsGrade, the six-story property comprises 114 apartments and a collection of health, wellness, and lifestyle amenities.

Located between East 23rd Street and Flatbush Avenue, the lot is near the Beverly Road subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Joey Araman under the J.S.S. of Clarendon LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Construction is finishing up on Plank Road, a 27-story residential building at 662 Pacific Street in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn‘s Pacific Park complex. Formerly addressed as 37 Sixth Avenue, 495 Dean Street, and 664 Pacific Street, the 209,451-square-foot reinforced concrete structure is designed by Marvel Architects and developed by The Brodsky Organization and yields 312 rental units. The development rises from a rectangular parcel bound by Sixth Avenue to the west, Dean Street to the south, and Pacific Street to the north.
Manhattan’s historic Emigrant Industrial Savings Bank will be reborn as Hall des Lumières, a permanent center for immersive art exhibitions and cultural events. Located at 49-51 Chambers Street in Civic Center, Manhattan proposals to transform the building’s ground floor were subject to review by the Landmark Preservation Commission and approved last August.
