11-Story, 186-Unit Building Planned At 22-12 Jackson Avenue, Long Island City

Adam America and MSD Partners have acquired the development site at 22-12 Jackson Avenue, in Long Island City — a few blocks south of Court Square stations serviced by the 7, E, M, and G trains — for $43.5 million. According to Crain’s Business, the developers plan to construct an 11-story, 186-unit mixed-use building measuring 210,000 square feet. A 5,000 square-foot retail portion is planned for the ground floor, and both ODA and Issac & Stern are designing. A small single-story structure must first be removed.

DDG’s Condo Project Approved At 100 Franklin Street, Tribeca

On adjacent triangular parcels at 100 Franklin Street — between West Broadway and Sixth Avenue, in Tribeca — DDG plans to develop two mixed-use buildings of six and eight stories tall, totaling 10 condominiums, with retail space on the ground floor. According to Crain’s Business, the Board of Standards and Appeals has granted DDG a variance to ignore a required upper-level set-back. The project is being designed in-house, and ground breaking is expected by the Fall, with completion is 2017. The LPC approved the project in January 2014.
